- That the average caregiver spent 20 hours a week providing care for a minimum of 4 years, with 25 per cent of caregivers spending at least 40 hours a week in the role of cargiver
- 1 in 4 caregivers is without help; one in 4 has paid help; and 61 per cent need more help
- Currently, 40% of people over the age of 30 are providing home care to one or more family members
- 58% of family caregivers suffer from poor physical and emotional health
- 55% of employed family caregivers report repercussions at work
