Sandy McElroy is the President of ElderSafe Support Services. With a Masters degree in Adult Education from UBC, and many years in leadership positions in business and the social service and education fields, Sandy provides the strategic vision required to build a responsive team dedicated to the highest level of client care. He is also responsible for the franchise division of the company.
Solange Valiquette is the Co-founder of ElderSafe Support Services. As a social worker, trained at the University of Victoria, Solange specializes in the fields of seniors’ issues, volunteer training and health related initiatives. Employed as Program Coordinator for the Canadian Cancer Society, Solange assists with staff training and inter agency liaison.
Valerie Seefeldt is the General Manager of ElderSafe Support Services. With twenty-seven years in the health care field, Valerie provides the day to day supervision of our caregivers. Prior to joining ElderSafe she was a Supervisor at North Shore Home Support (North Vancouver) where she was employed for eleven years. She completed her nurse training in England. Valerie is based at our Victoria office.
Dodie Eastaugh is a Case Manager in our Sidney office. She works closely with clients to make sure that their needs are met in the most appropriate and cost effective manner. She will conduct a no cost in home assessment visit to ensure that you receive the highest level of service with the best caregiver. Prior to joining ElderSafe she was the owner of Nightingale Home Support Services for nine years.
Cathy Fletcher is our Senior Bookkeeper, working out of our Sidney office. She has an extensive background, including counselling, working with seniors, and having her own bookkeeping business. Cathy is always happy to answer enquiries regarding billing & payroll.
Ellen Bowick is the Quality Assurance Coordinator in our Sidney office. She works closely with clients to make sure that their care is provided at the highest and most dependable level. She has many years experience working in senior care facilities. Ellen completed her Registered Nurses training in 1965.
The Caregivers
Each Caregiver is carefully selected, trained and insured. All Caregivers participate in a through orientation program where issues such as communications, confidentially, personal care standards, code of conduct and conflict of interest are covered. Each employee signs a Code of Conduct that specifies required behavior, duties and obligations.
All Community Support Workers Level II are certified Residential Care Attendants.
All Companions, Level I Community Support Workers, Cleaners, Gardeners and other service providers are highly experienced workers in their field. Each are bonded and covered by the WorkSafeBC.
All professional nursing staff are graduates of accredited training institutions and are members in good standing of either the Registered Nurses Association of BC or the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of BC.
