Of the 19 years I have been a Nurse, a majority of my service has been in the Long Term Care Sector. A hard, draining job, both physically and emotionally, I felt I was fast approaching the end of my nursing career. However, when I came across the Job opportunity for Case Manager for ElderSafe Support Services, my eyes where opened to a whole new world of possibilities. I began to see with excitement the opportunity I had to offer hope of independence to a community of people facing the sunset of their lives. In the short time that I have been a part of ElderSafe, I have been blessed with more "happy" tears than I have experienced in my entire career!! Today, the newness of the job has worn off, but the excitement of enabling lives, building hope, and providing dignity, still remains...I now look forward to a long, fulfilling career with ElderSafe, and no longer face my sunset years with concern, because I know this service exists, and that I will one day be the blessed recipient.
