Personal Care and Post Surgery Care

Are you having trouble getting up in the morning and getting dressed? Perhaps you require assistance bathing or need someone to stand by while you are in the shower. One of the ElderSafe Support Services team can come in to help you start your day.

They can help prepare breakfast for you and perhaps even take the dog out for a walk. For some clients we prepare lunch and leave it in the fridge for later. We are available to come back in the evening to prepare dinner and help you get ready for bed, or we can stay for the full day.

In addition to personal care such as bathing, grooming and assistance with meal preparation, we also offer medication reminders to ensure that you take the correct medications at the right time.

All of our staff who provide personal care are carefully screened, highly trained, have completed criminal record checks by local police departments, are bonded and insured, and are supervised by experienced Case Managers.

At ElderSafe Support Services we provide the gentle care that you would expect from a family member.

Post-surgery care

The time following surgery can be challenging. Each task becomes more difficult or impossible to accomplish for a period of time. ElderSafe can help you during the transition period following surgery.

We can help with personal care and chores around the home such as vacuuming and meal preparation. Our Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses can help with wound care and medications.

Our goal is always to work closely with you as you regain your independence. Working closely with the rest of your medical team, we can provide assistance for a few hours, a few days or we can set up a program that gradually reduces care as your strength and mobility returns.
